Emma Smit- Geraghty
Co-Director Cantabile Impact!

Emma grew up in Truro, participating in the Truro Music Festival, CEC musicals, and dance recitals, before moving to Ontario to attend Sheridan Institute’s Music Theatre – Performance program. From there, she performed in various shows before moving into teaching and writing. Since moving back to Truro, Emma has performed in the Vagina Monologues, Marion Bridge, and The Crucible, was a keynote speaker at the 2019 CMHA Women & Wellness event, and directed and choreographed "Guys and Dolls" in production with Ross Thompson and Lenore Zann.
Emma recently completed a workshop of her original show “Guy of the Year”, through Talk Is Free Theatre, with her writing partner Iain Stewart. Emma is also a member of the performing group Brigid along with Cantabile director Sarah Glinz and Beth Terry. She wants to thank Donnie for holding down the fort with their two baby Bunnies while she pursues her many projects.
